Your system runs in your environment
Everything we build runs in accounts you own (your Microsoft 365 or Google Workspace, your cloud account, your AI provider account, your phone service) or on hardware you own. We don't host your system on our servers.
We don't keep your data
We work through named accounts you give us or approve, with multi-factor sign-in and only the access the job needs. We don't store your business data on our own computers or accounts, with one narrow exception: files you send us.
If you send us files, we move them into your environment where the work needs them. Within 10 business days we delete them on our side: from our computers, and from our mailbox and its trash, together with the emails that carried them. Google's own backup copies then clear on Google's schedule. Other business email we keep as ordinary business records.
Photos and files you text us are handled the same way, with one difference: we keep a job's photos with that job's records while the job is open, and delete them from our phone within 10 business days of your asking or of the job closing.
Temporary working files on our workstation are deleted within the same window.
When the job ends, we remove our sign-ins, delete the access details we held, and ask you to switch off our accounts.
What we keep
Ordinary business records: our contract with you, invoices, contact details, business emails (not the ones that carried your files), time logs, and handover documents that contain none of your business data.
How AI models are used
In your system. It uses the AI provider named in your contract, through your own account and under your own agreement with that provider. We turn on its no-training and shortest-retention settings where your plan offers them, and record the settings in your handover documents.
While we build. We use AI tools to draft, code and test, and made-up test data wherever it's enough. Which AI service may receive any of your data while we build, and on what terms, is written into your agreement before work starts.
You decide what data your system receives. Health information: ask us first. We don't take on work that involves protected health information until a business associate agreement is signed.
Our subprocessors
Before any of your data goes to an outside service we use ourselves, your agreement names that service, with what it receives and its training and retention terms. Our business email runs on Google Workspace (Google LLC).
If something goes wrong
If we confirm that your data or your sign-in details were accessed, disclosed or lost while we had them, or because of something we did, we'll tell you right away. We'll help you lock things down and support your response. You decide whether and how to notify anyone else. We won't do it for you unless you ask or the law requires it.
You own what we build for you
Our standard agreement is written so that, once it's paid for, the system, its configuration and its documentation are yours, and our reusable tools inside it are licensed to you permanently.
Sol is the health screen we are building to include with every build from December. It is licensed to you for good. It runs on your own computer or account and sends nothing to us. It connects only to the systems it watches and their providers' status pages, and to your own alert channels. It keeps running whether or not you buy support. Each copy carries a unique license identifier so that copies can be traced. The identifier doesn't collect or send anything.
Ongoing support (Sol Care) is included for the first three months after go-live, in the build price. After that it's your choice: month to month, only if you ask for it, and nothing renews by itself. If you don't continue it, or stop it later, we don't switch anything off: your system keeps running as long as your own accounts and the third-party services it uses stay active. AI providers retire models over time. Your handover documents say how to switch.
Your system's providers
The AI, phone and hosting providers that run your system are not our subprocessors. They are named in your statement of work and contracted by you, in your name, under your own accounts. From December, Sol sends nothing to us, so it will not be a subprocessor either.

Second Sun Industries builds working AI systems for businesses: websites that take bookings, quote drafting, document intake and private AI on client-owned hardware. We started building AI tools because we needed them, for our own translation work and our own operations. We packaged one (UnaVox), are building another (Anima), and build the rest for clients.
We run our own infrastructure: we size our own GPUs and deploy our own models. When a client asks for a system that runs on their hardware, we're describing the way we already work, not making a pitch.

What the site collects
The site itself collects nothing. It has no accounts, sets no cookies, and runs no analytics or advertising. The page loads nothing from other sites: everything on it comes from our own site.
The contact form does not send anything to us. It turns your answers into text that you copy into your own email, or open in your mail app or in Gmail, addressed to anthony@secondsunindustries.com. You read it, change it if you like, and send it yourself. If you choose Open in Gmail, your brief goes through Google, under your own Google account, into a draft. Nothing reaches us until you press send.
The site keeps a few small settings in your browser's local storage, such as your display mode (light or dark). They stay on your device. We never see them, and they hold no personal information.
Our web host
The site is delivered by Cloudflare, Inc., which handles our website files and domain name. When you visit, Cloudflare receives the ordinary information any web request carries, such as your internet address and the page you asked for. We do not receive that information from the site. Cloudflare's own terms and privacy notice govern what it does with it.
Email you send us
If you email anthony@secondsunindustries.com, we receive your email address, your message and anything you attach. We use it to answer you and to run our business. Our business email is on Google Workspace, so your message is stored there.
We do not sell your information, share it for advertising, or add you to a mailing list without your say. We share it only with the services we use to run our email and business, and where the law requires.
Please do not email us passwords, payment card or bank numbers, Social Security numbers or health information.
Calls and texts to us
The phone number on this site is our founder's direct line, and we reply to calls and texts from it. If you call or text, we receive your number; for a text, your message; and, if you leave one, your voicemail. Your carrier and ours log the call or text, and our phone service keeps voicemails and messages. We use it only to answer you and to run our business, and we keep it as a business record, except the photos and files you text us, which are covered under "How long we keep it". We do not sell it or share it for advertising. Please do not text passwords, payment card or bank numbers, Social Security numbers or health information.
How long we keep it
We keep business email and contact details as ordinary business records, for as long as we need them to run the business or the law requires. Files are the exception:
